You may call this a biased review, but this review is consistently well deserved. My husband and I have been dining at this Ruths' Chris location downtown for over 30 years and have never had anything that we haven't thoroughly enjoyed! We have spent all of our wedding anniversaries (31) and many birthday celebrations at this restaurant and wouldn't think to go anywhere else. We have been to other high end steak restaurants in the city along the way, but in our opinion, nothing compares. The service is always outstanding and friendly, the steaks consistently cooked to the perfect temp. (my husband and I get ours medium rare plus.) The lyonnaise potatoes are buttery and wonderful. Order them well done and ask for them even if they aren't on the menu. They will gladly make them for you, no problem, and you will savor every bite! The bartender makes perfect cocktails and the creme brulee ordered to top things off is unbeatable. It's creamy with just the right crunch, served with luscious berries on the side, and the vanilla taste from the real beans they use to make it completely shines through! There is none better anywhere! That with the delicious coffee they serve is the perfect ending to an evening! These professionals know what they are doing and how to make your dining experience special and it shows! Parking in the garage next door is comped, which is a worth a mention. All in all, nothing beats that gorgeous mouth watering filet that's delivered to you with its signature buttery sizzle and amazing smell, every single visit. We've seen over the years that you will only have this one of a kind signature dining experience at Ruths' Chris, so here we are, giving a well deserved biased review of this wonderful landmark steakhouse that continually stands up to it's great name! Give it a try. This restaurant is truly a gem in the city that you too can discover and love!
