Best Restaurants for Local Ingredients in San Ramon

Lovely setting, lovely people, excellent food and service! We have NEVER had a bad meal or poor service here. Chef is innovative as well as awesome with classic dishes. Last evening we enjoyed the Gougeres (not to be missed). The salads are fresh and light. For our mains we had the Cote de Parc, a large chop with a very most delicious sauce, the steak Frites-always perfect, the scallops-perfectly cooked with a yummy Risotto and pear tart (go just for that!) Our go-to place for family, friends or just a couple's night out.

Top Hatter is one of our favorite restaurants. We had a little bit of a snafu when we went once for Valentine’s Day that was a little bit offputting where there was tip added to our check after we’ve already signed and left after several issues with being charged on different receipts. But we gave him another go and did not disappoint. The food was so tasty and the service was lovely and the ambience was top-notch.

The Slanted Door is one of my favorite restaurants. The food, service, seating, ambiance, cleanliness are exceptional and have been consistent over the years I have eaten there.

We dined with another couple and everyone was delighted with their meals, Two of us had pork jager schnitzel while my wife had wiener schnitzel, and the final diner had rouladen. We all had spaetlza which was perfectly prepared. Everyone loved their meals. Service was prompt, friendly, and very helpful answering questions. Note that this is a Austrian restaurant and that means that some thanks might be a bit different from what you find in German restaurants. It also means several Italian items are on the menu. Austria has a long border with Italy.

Great food and service. It was easy to make a reservation and the food came very fast.
