Best Restaurants that are Worth The Drive in Luray

Best brunch of our lives!! We’ve been to Region’s 117 several times for lunch and dinner so decided to try brunch for my birthday. We had the buttermilk cheddar biscuits with apple fig jam, eggs benedict, and farm fresh eggs platter. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. The breakfast potatoes were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The sweet pepper cornbread toast was phenomenal! We’ve never had a bad meal here and the menu is reasonably priced. The atmosphere is relaxing and every server we’ve encountered has been friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. We enjoyed brunch so much we plan to make it a monthly treat.

All Three of us thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at Claire’s. I enjoyed the hamburger with French fries and a small side of Cole slaw. A friend enjoyed the lunch steak and French fries and add ldd as I a bowl of she crab soup. Another friend ordered and loved the salad special. We topped off the lunch by sharing a slices of the chocolate cake. Absolutely delicious!

Food and view were amazing on back patio! Great service - sommelier helped pick perfect wine for our night.

What a hidden gem this is! I traveled with two friends an hour from Fredericksburg to this lovely 1700s estate. One of the owners happened to be outside when we parked and he led us to the front door, telling us the restaurant was inside and to the right. As soon as we stepped inside, we were transported into a beautiful piece of history. The dining room was so cozy! We were warmly welcomed by our server and made to feel more like friends of the family than normal diners. Brunch was delicious! Among us we had the delicious fruit bowl, perfect eggs benedict, fluffy french toast with fresh whipped cream and Vermont maple syrup, and a yummy omelette with sourdough toast and fabulous raspberry jam. There was not a crumb left on any of our plates! We had such a nice time that we didn’t want to leave. Our server was so hospitable, she welcomed us to explore the property after our brunch. As we departed, we promised to return. And that is a promise we will keep!
