- RRobertaGoldHouston •33 reviews5.0Dined on 12 Oct 2026Wow! Everything was delicious. I had the soup of the day - carrot/cumin. It came with Guinness Irish soda bread that could have been dessert (not too sweet, but sweet and tender chewy and a potato/cheese croquettes. The main course was undivided scallops with pickled fennel and a coral sauce - just the right balance of tartness and crunch of the fennel with the creaminess of the sauce and the nice sear on the tender scallops. I had the grilled greens (seemed like chard) with miso honey and a pumpkin seed crumble. I didn’t have room for dessert, but I expect whatever they had would be outstanding. The service was beyond friendly, but not obtrusive. I had a great GSM rose and one of their specialty drinks - the Whisky Blossom, which was similar to an old fashioned without bitters. Perfect drink for a blustery Irish evening. I would eat here again in a second. If you ever get a chance to go to Ashford Castle, Cullen’s is one of the thousands of reasons you should not hesitate for one second to go!More infoCullens at The Cottage€€€€• International• Cong•4.7
