Dining at The Old Inn on the Green is an extraordinary experience: fine wine, great food, attentive, knowledgeable service and the dining rooms illuminated only by candle light. Chef and Owner Peter Platt, along with his team, work to create innovative and memorable meals that are an event unto themselves. Currently, we are offering a $95 Prix Fixe, Wednesday through Sunday from 5:30-9:00pm for both indoors and in our heated outdoor Covered Patio. In addition to candlelight, in the colder months there are wood burning fireplaces in each room.     We arrived early for our reservation. Hostess was very gracious. Found us a spot even though the Tavern was fully booked. We opted for two bar seats and that was even better. Mia at the bar was a delight. Lunch was quite good. Roasted Brussel sprouts app gets a solid recommendation and Chicken pot pie was a New England treat. Drinks were great. (spiked apple cider) A bit expensive but I've found drinks are almost anywhere you go. Overall a really nice experience.

    Everything was a solid 10. The unassuming exterior belies the elegant ambience inside the restaurant. Food was outstanding, starting with the creative and tasty amuse. The appetizer of beet and apple was delicious and the main course of salmon was great and presented beautifully. Our waiter Julian gets 10 out of 5 stars.
