The building is a fine example of Early American Dutch rubble architecture featuring wide planked random width board floors, a fire place in each of the main rooms and many small multi-level rooms.The Hoffman House is located at the corner of the historic Stockade district in Kingston NY, and once served as fortification and a lookout. Today the Hoffman House serves a continental fare, featuring steaks, fresh seafood, pasta specialties and homemade artisan desserts.     We’ve now had the opportunity to try all of the salads and all are exceptional. Ample but too delicious to share. The entrees including two duck choices that were crisp served with sides including potatoes. Perhaps most exceptional is the apple tart dessert which will transport you from Kingston to Paris.
