Vallozzi's started over 50 years ago when Helen Vallozzi was selling homemade pastas out of her home. Helen opened a take out restaurant in Latrobe, PA a few years later where her popularity exploded. In 1977, Ernie Vallozzi moved his mothers location to Greensburg where it is still open and operating today. In 2012 Ernie's son Julian expanded the tradition in to downtown Pittsburgh. Vallozzi's Pittsburgh has recently joined a mere 1,200 restaurants worldwide as a recipient of the Wine Spectator Magazine's Best of Award of Excellence and is the only Italian restaurant in Pittsburgh to receive such an honor.     Food is always excellent at Pizzaiolo Primo on Market Square. Homemade pasta dishes are always a hit as our the pizza options. Chicken entree dishes as well at the eggplant parmesan are favorites. Service from Sarah was outstanding. A go to place for good Italian fare!

    This restaurant is an absolute diamond 10/10. The service was amazing our server was Jason he was knowledgeable and gave us fantastic advice on the menu the food was perfection. It was my birthday dinner and they had birthday confetti and a personalized card just for me waiting on the table when we got there. I had a great time! The sweet potato casserole was delicious the wagyu beef was delicious it was just so good!
