The MICHELIN Guide has been reviewing fine-dining restaurants around the world for over a century and awarding the best-of-the-best with a ranking through the coveted MICHELIN Star system. Without further ado, here are the 2022 Star selections for Toronto restaurants you can book today on OpenTable.

Created in partnership with hospitality icon Nick Di Donato of the Liberty Entertainment Group, Don Alfonso 1890 Toronto is the only North American location of world-renowned Michelin Star Chefs Alfonso and Ernesto Iaccarino’s Don Alfonso 1890. Sitting atop the iconic Westin Harbour Castle, on the edge of Lake Ontario, the spacious new location on the 38th floor, offers stunning views of the city skyline and Toronto’s harbor. At Quetzal, we celebrate regional Mexican cuisine, inspired by traditional flavours and cooking styles, all cooked over a 28 foot-long open fire that runs the span of the hot line.  Traditional moles, sauces and little-known native ingredients are transported to Toronto and infused with the bounty of local Ontario and Canadian produce, for a one-of-a-kind dining experience. Quetzal is located at the corner of College & Bathurst, at the edges of four Toronto hotspot neighbourhoods: Little Italy, Kensington Market, Harbord Village, and the Annex.

Quetzal has earned some of the industry’s highest honours, including ranking No. 7 on the 2026 North America’s Best Restaurants list, maintaining a One Michelin Star since the inaugural Toronto guide in 2022, and being named No. 4 on Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants list in 2026.

This has been my favourite restaurant in Toronto since before covid, and my 7th time visiting. I dined last night solo at the chefs counter. It was my wife and I wedding anniversary, but we recently seperated. Aside from the comfort I felt from the food as well as the warm fire from the kitchen, the hospitality staff showed me really made what was a hard day a memorable one.
