Again a lovely evening at the Blue Boar. Our guests who are very foodie people really enjoyed the food, ambience, service, so the whole evening . I had the trout because I absolutely love it and the way it is served, but one of our friends had the pork ravioli special which I tried and it was delicious, so I am having that next time if available! We all lived in Italy for many years so we really are pasta critics and you passed with flying colours….thank you

The evening of the solar eclipse and extremely warm. Although the restaurant was busy we were allocated a table adjacent to an open door where we could be as comfortable as possible in the heat. The waiting staff were very attentive and friendly , whilst working in extremely warm conditions. The starters ( pea and mint soup and potted crab) were delightful and the mains (duck breast with ratatouille and green beans) were superb. Can thoroughly recommend the Clive Collection rose' which was perfect for a summer evening. Altogether a very nice impromptu meal out. Thank you to all concerned.

Great place to visit we had lunch, great service, all the staff were attentive nice menu and drinks. Food was very good - no long waits and we thoroughly enjoyed the lunch. Thanks to everyone there and to the chefs- great job.

We spent the evening here after getting engaged, the staff were super friendly and gave us a great insight into the food whilst looking after us. Ambiance was amazing, we’ve eaten in some great places and this now joins the list with the high flyers. Thanks to the mortimers team, we will be back
