Very helpful and friendly staff. I arrived and dined for Sunday lunch on my own with my nervous little dog, which was well attended by the staff while I was away for the carvery. So grateful for their kindness, as the pub was very busy but they could still afford me this little detail. The food was exceptional for its price.

Some of the meat was not hot. But, overall, the experience was good

The food was SOOOO nice! The duck was amazing and the sweet potatoe so nice and the black COD! Was just dreamy! And those sugar snaps just so nice! Honesty in a whole the meal was so good!

My sixth visit, so I could be seen as a fan by now. This place never disappoints, it just gets better and better each time I come. Gemma, the front of house manager, recognised me after my third visit, which is impressive considering the many people she must see on a daily basis. A magical wonderland as soon as we step in the door. I often find that a themed afternoon tea can lack in the food department, but it's well thought through, and everything is exquisite. I simply cannot fault Mad Dogs. I'll be back with my friend and mum in February for the Wizard of Oz.
