$$$$•Tex-Mex•4.6(249)Chef Ford Fry and Chef Kevin Maxey, together designed a “Mex-Tex” menu that plays to their own Texan roots, tracing the beginnings of the cuisine to the 1930s, when Mexican cooks first doctored up their dishes to suit a “Gringo” palate with Americanized elements, giving birth to the Tex-Mex dialogue. “Kevin and I wanted to do food we like to eat,” Fry said. “It’s natural for a chef to want to be true to a certain culture, and likewise, we wanted to do authentic Tex-Mex, because it developed where we’re from.

We chose to celebrate at one of the finest restaurants in the city, and while we wanted to enjoy the experience, we were also mindful of staying within a budget. Meredith struck the perfect balance. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, offered thoughtful recommendations, and guided us toward options that felt indulgent and special without pushing us toward unnecessary add-ons or the most expensive choices. Her honesty, professionalism, and attention to detail allowed us to enjoy every moment of the evening while feeling effortless. What impressed me most was that she never made us feel like we were sacrificing the high-end experience. In fact, she elevated it. Her service was attentive, genuine, and personalized from start to finish. Exceptional food is important, but exceptional hospitality is what people remember, and she delivered exactly that. The views anywhere you look are splendid. The food is delicious and worth every dollar you spend. Ella was our waitress. She knew the menu perfectly, and each recommendation was a perfect hit! She was super smiley and energetic. She kept our table clean, waters filled, and our bellies full!
