P.S. Steak
$$$$•Steakhouse•4.8(408)As the name suggests, P.S. Steak was established to continue the story of the historic space that was once famed La Belle Vie. As Chef Mike DeCamp spent 10 years at the former French restaurant, this will be his homecoming and opportunity to write his own chapter for the space. P.S. Steak disrupts the perceptions of a typical steakhouse while honoring the legacy of one of the great culinary foundations in the Twin Cities.
The restaurant features an elevated yet accessible seasonal menu, along with a variety of cuts of meat, dry aged in a display case.
The lounge has been given a modern makeover with chic furniture and marble table tops. A selection of living floor plants divides tables to create intimate seating. Bringing warmth to the room, the bar and adjacent fireplace keeps guests cozied up to a menu of progressive cocktails.Indígena by Owamni
$$$$•Native American•4.6(438)Indígena by Owamni is the evolution of the pioneering Indigenous restaurant Owamni, dedicated to elevating and celebrating Indigenous peoples across the Americas through food. Indígena is fully owned by the non profit NATIFS (North American Traditional Indigenous Food Systems), and through this model, the restaurant advances food access and awareness, prioritizes purchasing from Indigenous producers, and invests in a diverse, equitable and inclusive workforce. Through innovative cuisine, cultural storytelling, and community impact, Indígena by Owamni will continue to redefine true American foods through a modern Indigenous dining experience.
Breva
$$$$•American•4.5(153)Welcome to Breva, the quintessential neighborhood gathering spot in the heart of Downtown Minneapolis. At Breva, we invite you to experience the essence of conviviality, served up with a touch of elegance in a casual chic setting.
Our culinary journey is guided by a team of seasoned hospitality professionals. Together, they've crafted a menu that's a true celebration of the New American spirit – elevated, unpretentious, and discerning.
Breva is just minutes from the Convention Center and Orchestra Hall, and a short drive from local theaters and sports stadiums.
Breva is an ideal destination for all groups and occasions!Masa & Agave
$$$$•Mexican•4.4(158)Welcome to Masa & Agave, a speakeasy-style cantina hidden below stairs at the historic Hotel Ivy in Downtown Minneapolis. On Thursday's, Friday's and Saturday's from 8pm to Close we are first-come, first-served and do not accept reservations during this time.
Worshipped as the Aztec gods of fertility and long life, venerated for their powers of sustenance, corn masa and agave have been central to Mexican culture and cuisine since ancient times.
Using authentic techniques, we prepare corn masa-based starters and Mexico City-style tacos that are bursting with regional flavors, along with dinner classics like Pork Carnitas and Negro Monelo-Braised Beef Short Ribs.
Our collection of 200 agave spirits pays homage to the jimadores and mezcaleros who have labored over their craft for generations. Sip on a copita or two, or gather friends for one of our signature Margaritas - try the Tradicionale, Tamarindo or a Margarita al Gusto mixed with your choice of spirit. Salud!
