The waitress was extremely helpful with guidance re a dairy intolerance. She was even able to suggest a dairy free dessert that was not on the normal menu.

Good selection on the menu but order wrong when it arrived. Waitress very apologetic & corrected it for us. Expensive for what you got. Atmosphere lovely until the bus tours arrived & it got very loud as the restaurant filled with Americans.

Very helpful staff. Pistachio and goats cheese starter was superb. Wine was very expensive. The soup was rather salty. Overall excellent.

Huge dining room with no diners. Mediocre food at best. Laying up for breakfast whilst we were eating.

Stayed at the hotel on the conker offer therefore our meal was part of the deal!!! My husband ordered the steak and I, the Balmoral chicken! Both were delicious and well presented. However, my husband was served his meal quite a while before I received mine! The waitress did inform me us that there was some kind of mix up with the chitty. To compensate the lovely waitress was going to give us my course free! But, due to the fact we had already prepaid our meal in the deal it was not possible. When waitress tried to explain to receptionist what had happened and to try to get some kind of discount, nobody knew what to do. We stood there feeling a bit stupid! Anyway, it resulted in 10% off our desserts ( which we paid extra for) - disappointing!!

Food was fine. Service friendly and considering how busy it was pretty efficient. The place is really geared towards larger organised groups on holiday tours rather than private parties and small groups which probably detracts from the ambience when busy. Although it is a pretty large space so could be very quiet when not busy. The var/bistro which has the same menu might be a better option for indvi and private groups.

We had a beautiful view of the Inverness Castle from our table. It was a splendid Easter dinner.

Good location but very little parking - best to head straight for the cathedral car park. Food was good, service was excellent, value for money very good.
