Yesterday felt like a foodie fever dream come true! I finally got my hands on the legendary viral @popupbagels from New York —and let me tell you, they live up to the hype. Their Chicago popup @guinnessbrewerychi sold out in less than a minute (!!), but the owner was kind enough to set a few aside for me. And OMG. The chew, the crust, the perfect hit of salt—I’m drooling just thinking about them. Absolute bagel perfection. We tried the Guinness schmear, which I was low-key nervous about (because, full disclosure, I don’t like beer), but it was ridiculously addictive. Like, I would spread it on everything. Now I totally get why people brave the cold for these bagels. Please, PLEASE, bring them to Chicago permanently! PS this @spanx jumpsuit literally is on repeat all spring and fall #SpanxPartner

📍 GUINNESS OPEN GATE BEER IN BLOOM SPRING BEER DINNER // Fulton Market, Chicago, IL Did you know @guinnessbrewerychi is now offering beer dinners? We attended their second one ever! We were treated to 4 courses of food + beer pairings PLUS a welcome beer. I recommend trying the Irish Breakfast Tea Amber. Not everyone can do a beer dinner on a Monday, but we did it. It was hard. 😜 Not but in all seriousness, they’re cooking up some lovely dishes for these dinners and when paired with their stellar brews it’s a winning combination. My favorite course was the foie gras brown bread tartine with the corn maize cream ale. Perfection! *chef’s kiss* All 4 of us said we’d do it again. It’s hosted in their back room and you get a glimpse into the inner workings for Guinness Open Gate. Their head chef and head brewer (both ladies! 💪🏻) spoke a bit and enjoyed dinner with us. This night their sous chef made everything. He came out with each course to tell us about the dish’s components and sourcing. It was a great experience and would make an excellent gift if you have a beer lover and foodie in your life. If you want to learn more, check out their website. They have a FREE block party right outside the brewery today beginning at 11am with access to live music, DJ’s, bands, food, beer, & merch. If you’d rather be inside, they have some time slots available for general admission - it’s $10 and gives you access to the entire brewery with live music as well, beer, beer cocktails, food, a separate tent with a dj & dancing and so much more.
