Located on the beautiful harbour front in Wells-next-the-Sea, Platten’s is one of Norfolk’s most loved destinations to stay and enjoy exceptional fish & chips and fresh coastal seafood. Our harbour-side restaurant offers a relaxed setting where guests can enjoy locally sourced seafood while overlooking the quay.

The best meal we have had out in this part of Norfolk for a very long while . We both had baked haddock and salad with new potatoes . Good service excellent food .

Booked table arrived and shown straight there. Very helpful friendly member of staff gave us menus and when ready to order, took our order paying particular attention to the 'gluten free' order which is why we went there. Food freshly cooked, hot and very nice. Been several times and will be back.

Nice restaurant with friendly service. Best to book in advance. £50 for 2 fish and chips and 1 drink isn’t value for money though. Avoid the Norfolk cider.

Lovely food ( very generous portions) and friendly and attentive service. Liked the ordering system where you signal you are ready to order by turning over a device that lights up red- very effective! I had hake with caper and gherkin butter which was delicious, the fish and chips enjoyed by the rest of family were also plentiful and beautifully cooked. No room for dessert! Recommend booking as they were very busy.

Booked table online as very busy on a previous visit. Table reserved, shown to table and served very quick. Food excellent as always. Will be back

Nice restaurant well appointed with a good atmosphere. Service was friendly and prompt. Our meals were hot and substantial using qualty products. I chose fried cod loin which was exceptional. The drinks menu was good with a varied choice of beers and wines. Like all foods especially eating out, prices have increased and although expensive it was still value for money. Would recommend a visit.

Service was exceptional. we all enjoyed our food. Fish and Sausages cooked to perfection and hot, chips were outstanding. good selection of wines and beers. what more could you want...
