Very friendly front of house staff. .First time here, loved the ambience . .Lunch menu was very varied . Food was very tasty ...Everything felt 'real' and not pushy ...will definitely be back.
Lovely spot with home brewed beers and very good quality food. The chicken wings are superb as are the meat and fish dishes.
This is a great place. The staff are so accommodating; it was a cold day and I ordered a cappuccino while waiting for friends and the waitress made it extra hot for me.
Food is great and there is a good selection on the wine list. Tables are well spaced out too.
I have eaten here about 4 times now.
10/03/17. Excellent venue
Lovely meal in a lovely restaurant I’ll definitely return and recommend it highly
Enjoyed the Larder. We went for a friend's birthday and it had a touch of elegance about it, without the necessary costs.
Went here for my dad's 51st Birthday, he loved and and the food was great
It would be better with music or something! Could hear the conversation easily at the next table and knew they could hear us!
Otherwise a lovely meal!!
Unfortunately started badly as no record of my booking even though I showed my open table confirmation on my phone. Although told not a problem we were shown to the worst table in the house even though there were plenty of bright spacious tables available. Starters were good - goats cheese and chicken wings. Very disappointed with my cod mail course - nearly choked on a huge bone and there were lots more where that came from! Steak main was flattened and quite dry. Won't be back!
Good value early bird menu, non touristy despite being right by Temple Bar. Their own beers are really good
The Larder is a gem with lovely staff and delicious wines. 😀
Our meal was served promptly and service was friendly. The food was excellent ,everything we ate was tasty and well presented. We had no complaints at all and enjoyed the casual friendly atmosphere. I would definitely return, we consider it a great find !
Very enjoyable meal. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The food is tasty and well presented. One of the nicest rib eye steak I've eaten in a long time. Great location in town, close to some great bars. We will definitely return to The Larder.
Our gnocchi was completely overcooked. When we complained we were told by waitress "it's meant to be like that ... we cook it so it melts on the tongue". Our other friends meal was cold. Far too expensive for what you get. We decided not to give a tip as it wasn't deserved only to discover afterwards on receipt that we were charged a percentage of the bill anyway as a tip! We won't be going back!
Good food, friendly staff but we were seated beside the door (despite booking weeks beforehand) and it was freezing. When we were finishing our deserts we were brought our bill and informed we had to move as they had another booking.
Cosy venue, nice atmosphere and attentive friendly staff. Food was very tasty and reasonably priced and the wine was excellent!
Lovely selection on the Xmas lunch menu, great value & service
Have eaten here on a number of occasions and I have been pleased every time.
Cozy atmosphere. Had a family dinner with 7 people and had back corner to ourselves. I thoroughly enjoyed the roasted chicken with butternut squash and risotto. Others in our group enjoyed the special of Sea bream and the Gnocchi.
Delicious food, my friend and I both had the cod. Excellent service, very attentive- our server came to check on us many times. Nice friendly atmosphere. I will return.
I went to The Larder on Saturday night and had such a lovely meal with my partner. Staff are so accommodating and the and food was exceptional!
Had a nice evening, the service was good but the food was just ok. I had the duck for main, wasn't the best. The best part of the meal was the dessert.
My mum and I booked table for dinner when we were in Dublin over weekend. A thoroughly enjoyable evening. The sea bass was the nicest I have ever tasted. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Delicious food, helpful staff and nice atmosphere. And a brilliant selection of beers
Met a friend visiting from France for brunch - a difficult meal to deliver well. Perfect eggs. Friendly and prompt service without being rushed - excellent location for getting to the theatre too. My French friend, a frequent visitor, said she would tell people about a restaurant which she considered to be a "find".
Just a great place in Dublin to sit, eat and be merry (if you so wish) ! great little spot
The food and ambience was amazing. Unbelievable value for food. However, the servers made you feel like a burden. They brought my partner a starter and did not bring mine for 2nd. I had to ask them for it and the lady did not apologise, just seemed a bit annoyed. I could not fault the food, price or restaurant but the service really needs to be improved. They made us feel as if they were annoyed by us. We set down at half five and they said you have to be gone by 8. When they came to give menus the waiter just dropped them in the middle of the table. Very unwelcoming
Cosy restaurant, attentive service, great food with a specials board.
Would definately visit again. Try their beer !
Every mouthful was so full of flavour. Quality food at a good price. Excellent service and ambience. Highly recommend.
Delicious food. Happy and helpful staff. Zero complaints.
Lovely food, friendly and efficient service and very good value for money.
Food was good, not great. Service was excellent. Waitress was friendly and accommodating.
Very enjoyable meal, however
we were seated at the back of the Restaurant overlooking a lane. There were lots of vacant tables.
Friendly staff nice food , good atmosphere , reasonable price for Dublin
The food, wine and service were good and there was a friendly and informal welcome. The only real complaint was that it was crowded and very noisy, being busy on the Friday evening we went and because , as so often now, the room had no sort of sound deadening material on the walls and floor. Much of the time we could not hear what we were saying to each other. If this were solved, it would be an excellent spot but we would probably go back anyway but preferably at a less busy and crowded time.
The food is always good and reliable, and the service courteous and conscientious.
This is commendable in a city-centre area which picks up a lot of passing tourist trade.
Visiting with friends. Excellent venue for a good catchup and chin wag!
Good food and nice ambient! 😊
Great food and service, staff couldn't be nicer or more efficient but ambiance lacked and on a Saturday afternoon the restaurant was a bit too quiet for my liking.
We were in Dublin for vacation and business. We found the Larder on Open Table, and based on the menu and other reviews made a reservation. The food was great, but the highlight of this restaurant is the people. We made a late reservation, and even though we were their last reservation of the evening, they went out of their way to be sure we had a great experience. They even went so far as to move our entire party to another table, when a better table opened up. The food was also excellent, as was the beer. The waitstaff gladly made recommendations, and could not have been nicer. If I return to Ireland again, the Larder will be among one of the restaurants I will definitely return.
