I don’t usually class something as outstanding as there is usually something wrong. I have been slightly critical with the food as a couple of cakes were a little dry. However there was so much food it really didn’t matter. We have had afternoon teas in many places like the Ritz in London but this was better. Service was outstanding. Very attentive, informative and so friendly. Everyone had time to chat with us. Will definitely be back and definitely recommend this place.

As the name suggests, Moules a go-go is famous for its mussels, fresh from the shores of Anglesey, served in a variety of ways from simple Moules Marinieres to Korean. The vast selection of seafood dishes ranging from traditional fish and chips to scrumptious Sea Bass is impressive, though equally appealing are the locally sourced juicy steaks . After 17 successful years in business amongst tough competition, Moules a go-go is still going strong, boasting superb food and a great atmosphere in contemporary yet comfortable surroundings. The head chef and manager have been there since the restaurant’s inception; such longevity is a rare blessing in the tempestuous world of the steaming kitchen, but this dedication shows in the consistency and quality of the food and service. Moules a go-go is a real find in the heart of Chester's history.

I’ll like to consider myself a bit of a foodie and the meal my wife and I ordered was very good we booked for a Sunday and both decided on the Sunday lunch we consisted of beef cheek croquettes and french onion soup and for main both decided on beef cheeks and may I say both were excellent

Was really impressed with this place on site Chester Zoo. We went for lunch and it was not busy at all. Was nice to get away from the busy zoo and enjoy some family time over good quality food. Cocktail menu looked nice although we didn't try any as it was more of a family meal. Only downside was we hadn't anticipated how far it was from some of the attractions so had a bit of a walk to get there in time for our booking.
