Best Afternoon Tea Restaurants in Welney

An excellent afternoon tea. It was our anniversary and on our table was a hand written card congratulating us. This was a lovely touch along with a happy anniversary brownie each on our cake tier. The staff were very attentive and efficient. The food was lovely. The little things really do matter. Top marks everyone.

We had a lovely roast dinner at the Gonville Hotel. The beef was incredibly tender and came with a generous Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and vegetables. We started with garlic prawns and finished with a sensational pear, honey and almond tart with pistachio ice cream. The set lunch was good value for money and the complimentary glass of wine was a welcome bonus. A very enjoyable meal and somewhere we’d happily return to.

Nice place Great staff and service the environment was great as well

The service was great and this is one of the few places I’ve been there the staff have been very attentive, accommodating and didn’t simply drop the food off and forget about us. They insured we were taken very good care of through the entire experience. We enjoyed each entree and the drinks were great. Probably the best margarita I’ve had since coming to the UK as an American. Should definitely try it out and a bit thank you to Henrique, the other gentlemen, and the manager!

We ate in the conservatory as less formal, the menu is excellent with lots of choices, small plates also available which for me is a bonus ! Portions were a good size and great value for money too.
