We had the five-course tasting menu and honestly, every single bite was incredible. Everything was so thoughtfully put together, with beautiful flavours and combinations that just worked perfectly. Even the bread and butter was the best I’ve ever had! The artichoke soup was a dream (I absolutely love artichoke, so this was right up my street), the cod with mushrooms and grapes was a delicious and surprisingly perfect combination, and the venison with celeriac was cooked beautifully. Dessert was just as good, with a chocolate tart topped with toasted seeds and pumpkin gel that was the perfect finish. Every course was delicious, beautifully presented and full of flavour. You can really tell how much thought and care goes into the food, without anything feeling overcomplicated. A fantastic tasting menu, a lovely experience and worth every penny. We loved it and would absolutely recommend The Cottage to anyone looking for a really special lunch in Edinburgh. We’ll definitely be back! ❤️

Stunning venue, charming and attentive service, food was delicious, tables well spaced so it felt intimate and uncrowded. Spectacular views over central Edinburgh. Was very impressed and will return when we have another special occasion to celebrate.
