Best Contemporary British Restaurants in Hazlewood

Lovely experience as always, enjoyed all the courses particularly the fish course. Lovely food for a reasonable price ( we had the 5 course taster menu ) Ambience is good and background music just the right volume, All the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. We generally visit once or twice a year. We will return.

We arrived as the restaurant opened. We were made welcome and seated at a nice table. The menu was explained to us and the variety of food was good. We chose well having lamb and sweet potatoes as starters and the good value steak and chips as a main course. The steak was perfectly cooked. The staff were attentive but not intrusive. So we enjoyed a lovely pre theatre meal .

The food was amazing. I had the chicken liver pate, the monkfish tail and the parfait for dessert. The food was beautifully presented, the flavours were wonderful and the staff were very attentive. It was my husbands 64th birthday and the staff brought him a beautiful dessert as a surprise! Overall a really lovely evening and thanks again to all the staff who were wonderful and the chef!.

Amazing!! The staff were so friendly, knowledgeable and they soooooo looked after us. I asked for somewhere out of the way as I had crutches and did not want anyone to trip over them. They sorted a table by the window and even got me a pouffe to raise my leg. That’s what I call service! They went that one step further. The food was excellent! We had the wine pairing and that was such a match. To be honest, from the moment we walked through the door they made us so welcome!! Even as other customers arrived and it got busier, they still treated us like we were the only customers. Amazing from start to finish!! ❤️

We go to the Leeds Doubltree specifically to have dinner at The Lock. The sharing tomahawk is amazingly good and great value with 2 sides and 2 sauces included. It did not disappoint once again - huge compliments to the chef and rest of the team.
