Some combinations felt very Japanese inspired while the resulting taste was very German. The bread was spectacularly good. I had a wine pairing with the menu and was beyond impressed with the choices—especially loved the foray into Czech wine. I do wish that there was some small explanation of the dishes on the menu (it seems to only list main ingredients) but perhaps they want to encourage a dialogue with the service staff, which was outstanding and very helpful.
