Balloons on the table, a birthday card and a drink on the house for the birthday twins. Those personal touches were very much appreciated. The service was personal, not rushed, attentive and sociable. The food was great. Two courses for £20. Choices from the entire menu which was varied so, everyone struggled to choose. The pub itself is a piece of history and makes for a lovely, homely evening. Great choice of beers.
