Omg, where do I even begin. So I found this place on TikTok after being interested in doing Omakase in the city . I booked the 17 course bougie experience and wow wow wow. Everything was so fresh and perfectly put together. Also all the courses were different flavors and textural contrasts. I can’t even tell you my favorite course because they were all so great. From the mackerel to the scallop , everything was something like I’d never had before. I have never seen sushi done this well. I was worried we wouldn’t be full or satisfied with the single pieces at a time , but I left full and happy. Now let’s talk about the service. What an amazing team this place has. From the playlists to the personalized customer service we experienced from the second we walked in to the minute we left, 10s across the board!!!!! Often times when I go out I feel like customer service is dying but Tishon and the host Maya are experts in the field. Their energy is unmatched and I will think about this experience for a very long time . Maya greeted us with a perfect smile and Tishon explained the experience perfectly. Chef Non took care of us for most of the night , taking his time to explain every bite and waiting for us to finish before starting our next course. We never felt rushed and it was clear he really loves his job. Chef Yang was right by his side with the perfect assist whenever necessary. They make a wonderful duo. We talked to both of them about how long they’d been with the company and how much they loved and appreciated working there and their love for their job was evident in every bite we took. I wish I could give this place 10 stars wow. I can still taste that crunchy garlic and I mean that in the best way possible. I don’t think my taste buds have ever been so happy. Thank you again Tishon , Maya and Chef Non and Yang. Keep up the amazing work and I will see you all soon.

The Happy Hour is great -- $6 glasses of wine, a nice-sized bowl of roasted/charred edamame for $6...you can't beat the quality and prices! And the Lobster California and the Cruncy Avocao Rolls from the regular menu are delicious, too.

As usual, the entire experience at Roka Akor was amazing! First of all, I highly recommend the Alice Cooper Frankenstein roll. Not only is it delicious but part of the profit goes to school of rock! I would order it again just for the taste experience. Everything we ordered was delicious, the calamari, the ribeye, the black cod and the fingerling potatoes. On top of that we had a wonderful Pinot Noir our server was conscientious enough to pour for us. Lately, servers at other restaurants have left the wine up to us… We didn’t have room for dessert, but we plan on returning soon!

Had the chef’s counter one night only 5 course plant based menu last night. WOW! At Chef Paul’s recommendation we added the drink/sake pairing and it was delicious. I have a new appreciation for sake! Always enjoy eating at Gaijin as it is such a unique menu. Service was perfect - spacing the dishes accordingly, drink pairing arrived at the same time - quite a unique feat when the restaurant was packed! I do have to add one of the pairings was a green tea Negroni……it should be on the menu permanently - it was fantastic!

Staff and Management went out of their way to make our experience extra special! My 29 year old daughter looks forward to a Benihana experience every year. Great time to enjoy with family and friends. Delicious food, wonderful service and so entertaining. If you have been, it is time!

The Evie is always good. Food is excellent, and you cannot go wrong with steaks, chicken, salmon, and even the fish sandwich. Their starters are also amazing, including the artichokes, salads (best kale salad), and of course their bread. And the sushi rolls are outstanding. Servers have been exceptional every time. Highly recommended.
