Not my first visit to The White Horse and Griffin, seems very unassuming upon arrival till you are seated in the Bistro/Restaurant down a few steps! Good choice for most i think and honestly never had a bad meal there! Would definitely recomnend trying it 🥰😋😋

Booked here for a birthday meal, I made the mistake of looking at the sample menu online so was a bit disappointed that there were no scallops on the menu. We were surprised with the range of starters, given its a fish/ seafood restaurant only two of the starters were seafood. Better choice for the main course. We both had hake and it was beautifully cooked. Waitress was wonderful, very kind and attentive, offered to take the wine we had chosen back and swap it for something else. The wine list is wholly Australian / New Zealand so flummoxed us a bit as were used to drinking European wine. Overall a nice evening
