Almost everything is great. The only problem is that tables are too close together, making it difficult to have an actual conversation with the person at your own table. Easy to talk to the person at the table next to you, if that’s what you want.

Enjoyed dozens of superb meals at Bistrot Lepic in my decades teaching at Georgetown, and love the wine bar music evenings. Had not been back for a while. The restaurant remains a gem. Every restaurant these days must balance the financial pressure forcing choices between size of portions and price increases. Lepic has opted for slightly smaller amounts and slightly higher prices. The really important story is that they have not in any way diminished the quality of the food or the size of the wine pours. Service was attentive and efficient, and staff responsed to our few requests graciously and quickly. Nice to see that some old favorites remain very much worth visiting.

The food was delicious, with interesting, unique flavors that worked really well together. Kudos to the Chef! The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was that our empty appetizer plates weren’t cleared before the main dishes arrived. Since the table is small, clearing them beforehand would have made the experience more comfortable. Overall, a great meal!
