Just a delightful lunch, food excellent, ambience lovely. Only point of issue...ladies loo was out of order, which they were dealing with as quick as they could...totally professional.

It was the best meal ever - it was so tasty. The service was very nice an the food was just right. They also handled our dietary requirements very well and made us feel confident.

First time trying here with a group of friends. Very friendly staff, complimentary bread and oils. Would prefer a wider menu choice but fun atmosphere and good music. Great bar and cocktails!

A very warm welcome at my local go to favourite restaurant, even though we arrived before they opened. The service here is wonderful: everyone is so attentive. The staff work really hard to see that patrons needs are anticipated, and all done with great charm, in no way diminished by the restaurant being full. Our gorgeous bread arrived straight from the oven at one minute before opening time! We had the set lunch: fantastic value at £37.50 for three courses! The subtle and unusual pumpkin soup was a delight to savour, followed by the best cod fish cake I have ever eaten, served with Chef Nick Beardshaw’s own version of a creamy, piquant tartare sauce - with peas, inspired! The dessert “chocolate eclair” resembled that sweet treat in shape only: it was crispy, boozy and utterly delicious. The “pond” of chocolate sauce and the piped chocolate cremeaux on top were perfectly balanced with the creamy filling. This was a truly memorable meal enjoyed by us all. N.B. This set menu is offered only twice a week, for lunch on Wednesday and Thursday. Booking is essential. The a la carte menu is another whole delight, and the wine selection is outstanding.

We had an amazing visit - service was impeccable from start to finish, the food was outstanding, and the visit to the cheese room was the icing on the cake. Really good value for money considering the quality of the food and the service, we'll definitely be returning
