We had a table for two on a Friday night. The restaurant was fairly quiet but we had drinks in the lounge with canapés while we chose our menu. The restaurant rang earlier in the day to check dietary requirements which was useful as I don’t eat meat. They then modified the taster menu to take out the meat dishes. The food was incredibly good, they were just into their autumn menu and it was all tasty and well thought out. The Smokey trout in particular stood out. Our waitress was fantastic, she was from Spain and was lovely and friendly and extremely knowledgable about wine.
We had a super meal and evening, it was a shame it was so quiet but this didn’t detract from our wonderful meal.
