Gallaghers Steakhouse - Manhattan
$$$$•Steakhouse•4.9(21,169)Founded by former Ziegfield girl Helen Gallagher and the colorful gambler and sports enthusiast Jack Solomon, Gallaghers opened as a speakeasy and steakhouse in 1927. At that time, the height of Prohibition, a good stiff drink and a great steak were hard to find in New York – except, of course, at Gallaghers.
New Yorkers come for the world-class cocktails and incredible steak – prime beef dry-aged for 21 days in Gallaghers’ legendary windowed meat locker. The combination of all-natural dry aging and cooking it to perfection over hickory coals makes for a steak unlike any other found in New York.
Gallaghers’ guests are welcome in a wide variety of attire – from elegant casual to business suits. We respectfully request that you refrain from wearing hats, sports jerseys, tank tops and shorts.Souvlaki GR Midtown

- IIvanNew York City •1 review5.0Dined 5 days agoOur dinner at Carmine’s was delicious, and the staff provided excellent service. They offered a dairy- and egg-free menu, which was especially appreciated because of our daughter’s allergy. We enjoyed the broiled porterhouse and potatoes, served family-style for sharing. Our daughter loved her meal, and thankfully, she had no allergic reaction. The food was excellent, and the staff was attentive and accommodating throughout the evening. Carmine’s is also conveniently located just a short walk from Times Square, making it a great dining option when visiting the area. I would highly recommend Carmine’s and will definitely return on another occasion!More infoCarmine's - 44th Street - NYC$$$$• Italian• Theatre District•4.6

Really appreciate that the front desk always goes out of their way to seat us at our favorite tables near the railing on the upper level. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive and went out of his way to please us and pace the dinner as we requested. If Shakespeare said that the world is a stage, then Midtown West is the perfect neighborhood for a pre-show meal. Encompassing Broadway and the theatre district, this bustling stretch of blocks has more cultural cachet than Midtown East, and it’s a bit grittier. This means that there are casual staples like pizza, late night gyros and other street meat to balance out the high-end options. Some highlights include world-renowned sushi, Korean small plates, cozy New American fare, and more. Whether you’re into musicals or dramas, there are adventurous flavors for every taste.
