- PPaulNew York City •3 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoAn absolute gem for fresh bivalves and standout cocktails. Coming into this spot for happy hour completely exceeded expectations. We started with a dozen raw oysters that were impeccably shucked, ice-cold, and packed with just the right amount of ocean brine. You can genuinely taste the freshness, and the accompanying cocktail sauce added a crisp, bright kick without overpowering the seafood. On the drink side, the cocktail menu delivers just as much as the raw bar. My drink was balanced, artfully presented, and mixed with top-tier spirits rather than hidden under heavy syrups or mixers. The vibe strikes that ideal balance of lively and relaxed, and the service was attentive from the second we walked in. Whether you are dropping in for a quick round of shells and a drink after work or settling in for a full evening, this place is well worth the visit.More infoCrave Fishbar Upper East$$$$• Seafood• Upper East Side•4.8

Discover Upper East Side
Just a few years back, the stately neighborhood near Central Park was mostly stale, white-tablecloth spots with very little to attract the foodie set. Well, times have changed, and the area has a slew of fresh places to experience. Not-too-fancy French brasseries include favorites without the stuffiness, California-inspired fish tacos bring a golden glow to winter afternoons, and creative tavern fare undo the top button. But since this is the UES, there are still high-end sushi institutions. Uptown is still refined in its inimitable way, it’s now just a bit more accessible and vibrant, just like a foie gras mini taco.
